Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving with Ken's family this year up in Cameron Park. It was a very relaxed day and we had a lot of fun. Ethan loved to run around their house and go up and down the one step going from the entryway to the living room. He mastered that skill that day and we no longer worry about him falling down that step.

Before we headed up the hill for Thanksgiving Ethan had a good time getting off and on the ottoman in the living room. This was the first time he'd figured out how to do that and he was very proud of himself. He does try to stand on it from time to time so we have to watch him, but he's mastered it.

This year we are very thankful for Ethan's continued health. He has cultured anything that we need to be concerned about at clinics and he's stayed relatively healthy. He has a cold right now that is pretty nasty. We're hoping it is gone by the weekend. It's been 4 months since he was last sick!!!

November Pictures

I've been so bad about blogging lately. Here are some photos we took in November:

Ethan still loves sucking his thumb.

My sister, Kristin and her youngest, Judah spent the day together a few weeks ago. Ethan loved playing with all of his old toys that are now Judah's.

More photos from Thanksgiving to come...

Take a look.

6 month photos

For Ethan's 6 month photos we decided to take my friend, Pam's son with is for photos. Pam & I didn't want to be in the photos. Evidently, Sean, Pam's 1 year old, didn't want to be in the photos either.

At 6 months, Ethan can roll very well from tummy to back, switch toys from one hand to the other, move around his bed (always found in a new spot with toys in his hands or his blankie over his head), sleeps 730pm-630am with no feedings, and eats a jar of baby food and cereal at dinnertime. He is on his way to sitting up on his own. I think within the next couple weeks he will be doing it on his own. We don't know how much he weighs, but I will update this post with a weight on Thursday when we go in for his shots and checkup. He should be about 17 1/2 lbs.

3 Month Portraits

His Easter Outfit (or what would have been his Easter outfit if it had fit)

Ethan turned 3 months old on the 18th! It seems like everyday he is doing something new. I've been trying to put him on his tummy more often. It's hard to remember to do it since when he is up he's usually eating or having a vest or nebulizer treatment. I try to give him time to play, but sometimes it's not very much time. When I did put him on his tummy a couple days ago he was really close to rolling over. I think he'll be doing it by the end of next week.
Ken & I took Ethan to JcPenney's Portraits to have his 3 month photos taken. He missed his morning nap, so I was worried they wouldn't turn out very good. We didn't get a really good smile, but the grin made up for it.
Who do you think he looks like in this one?

Belly Shots - 39 weeks and 4 days

I've been just a little busy lately, but wanted to post the pictures that my friend, Lauren took a week before Ethan came. I'm really glad that we took the time to take pictures of my belly as big as it was because it's hard to believe that it was ever that big now. Thank goodness it goes down fairly fast after birth. But, more about all that in my next post. Enjoy the pictures! Thanks, Lauren!
