If you are going to be "put under" there are meds that they can include with the anesthesia that will address post op sickness. I have had the same concern and always make sure that they use the "anti-sick" meds. The last thing I want is to wake up sick. But because they are using a rigid endoscope there may not be the need for anesthesia. It makes for a much more expensive procedure and it they can avoid it they will. There are many things that can be done with the scopes. They can insert and use scalpels, scissors, grabbers and can suture all with a magic scope. So hopefully they will find a minor problem and be able to take care of it while doing the examination. But ask ahead of time about the details of the procedure. My guess is that they may sedate you with some Valium or something else like it and then numb you from the elbow down. I had a little tumor removed from my hand a few years ago and they just numbed my hand and then set up a sheet that blocked my view and then conducted the surgery. Might be just that simple for you too.Humbughttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17923243594767458199noreply@blogger.com
